Congratulations to our Manchester ‘Introduction to Digital Technologies’ class that graduated today! The programme is our new flagship provision and compliments the training programmes that we already deliver around digital marketing.

Learners on this course represent the first in a series of young people who will be inspired and equip with the knowledge, confidence and skills to progress their careers in digital marketing and IT.

Our digital technologies course is designed for those who have an interest or want to get into IT or Digital Marketing. During the three weeks of classroom-based training, learners gain valuable digital marketing, employability and IT skills.

The first 20 learners have been attending our Manchester-based classroom, which started on 16th September.  Throughout their time with us, it has been amazing to see their technical skills grow along with their confidence.

The purpose of our pre-apprenticeship training course is to introduce learners into the digital world. We want to help them progress, so we don’t just stop at enhancing their digital skills, we teach them valuable employability skills to help secure their first job or to climb the progression ladder.

We encourage learners to take the natural progression to our Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship, but our pre-apprenticeship programme is also suitable for those that wish to go into careers that involve IT.

Now that these learners have completed the course, our Progressions Officer, Sharon Daniel, will stay in contact with them to guide them into employment and support them every step of the way.

Luke Muscat, Managing Director at The B2W Group commented: “We are extremely proud of the achievement of our learners. To see them grow in confidence and ability during their time with us proves the importance of this programme in helping young people progress in their careers.

Since 2012, we have supported thousands of people and helped them into sustainable employment. This new course extends our offer into the digital sector and demonstrates our desire to provide relevant, quality learning that can help to influence the careers and futures of so many young people.”

We see this as the starting point for the learners and we look forward to seeing many more young people develop through our digital pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programmes.
