Our Social Media for E-Commerce course is designed to help you develop your knowledge of social media marketing and how this is used by businesses to market and sell services and products online.
As part of the course, you’ll complete a series of units that relate directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected for a role in social media marketing.
This includes learning about key social and digital marketing principles, as well as how to measure success and analyse campaign results.
The course is delivered over 4 weeks in a virtual classroom, so you will need access to a laptop/computer with an internet connection to complete the course.
On completion of the course, you’ll receive an industry-recognised Level 3 qualification in Social Media for E-Commerce.
COURSE CONTENT & KEY UNITS
On the Social Media for E-Commerce course, you’ll complete the following five key units:
In this first unit, you will be introduced to key project management concepts and the processes and tools used by organisations to manage projects online. You will also learn about various project management software and how to plan an IT project, track progress and review outcomes to determine project success.
This unit will help you understand digital marketing, and how it helps an organisation to achieve its goals. You will learn about the full digital marketing mix and how trends impact on digital marketing activities and techniques. You will also explore the role of digital information, media and the various channels used in digital marketing.
This unit will allow you to investigate the goals, benefits, methods, factors and technologies of content marketing, while also introducing the skills needed to create, implement and evaluate the success of a content marketing campaign.
In this unit, you will build on the content marketing skills you learned to develop an understanding of how social media is used in digital marketing. You will also learn how to plan, create and measure a social media marketing campaign to meet organisational goals.
This unit will develop your understanding of the sales funnel, the customer experience and the types of data generated during the customer journey. You will learn how and why organisations measure digital marketing activities and the key metrics and performance indicators they use to determine the success of digital marketing campaigns.
