Our Level 3 Networking & Cybersecurity course is designed to help you understand the fundamentals of creating robust cybersecurity measures and managing networks, to prepare for different roles in network support and digital design.

Bidehamani's Story

Bidehamani wanted to gain more knowledge and insight into all things related to cybersecurity in order to begin pursuing a career in this field.

He enrolled on our Level 3 Networking & Cybersecurity course for this reason, and now believes the units he completed will stand him in good stead for the future.

"I chose this course because I was lacking basic foundation knowledge in cybersecurity. I used to hear that there is a bigger scope for landing a job if you know more things about cybersecurity.

"This course gave me key information and skills in terms of the fundamentals of data communications and access control."

Work Examples

To complete the course, Bidehamani and his fellow learners were given various tasks and projects to complete throughout each unit, something which he says were very useful in understanding more about what exactly is required when working in cybersecurity.

"I did some practical work as part of the group work, which included building project plan documents, a work breakdown structure, building Gantt charts, making budget sheets, filling out risk registers, setting computers up in a small office, provisioning resources to office computers, exercise of access control of those computing or communication resources, and applying security features to those resources."

As well as enjoying the overall content of the course, Bidehamani also said he benefited from the guidance of his tutor, who helped him and his fellow learners throughout the duration of the course.

"The most beautiful part of this course was the subject matter delivery by the tutor, Mohammad Ali Afgan. He always made sure during the morning briefing that everybody was up to speed with the assignments.

"He also never hesitated in repeating things again and again, no matter how many times the learners asked him."

Bidehamani also said he’d recommend this course to his friends due to the enthusiasm shown by his tutor to help him succeed.

"I will recommend this course to my friends because the tutors want you to succeed here. There is a good mix of both research and practical work to complete, and it also allows you to explore things in future.
