Life at B2W: Summer Sizzler at Freight Island, Manchester

Last week, we held our annual Summer BBQ based at Freight Island in Manchester, to get our employees from across the B2W Group together for good food, craft ales and cocktails… and a whole lot of laughs!

It was also a great opportunity for staff from different teams to finally meet face-to-face, as a lot of our employees still work remotely from home or on a hybrid basis, with only a few days a month spent with colleagues in the office.

This was the first event we’ve held at Freight Island and it’s safe to say, the venue didn’t disappoint, with a wide variety of bars available, as well as multiple food vendors on site serving everything from classic American street and BBQ food, to more exotic dishes from the likes of Korea and Venezuela.

We regularly hold company events to help celebrate our staff’s achievements and hard work, and have recently introduced our “Super Wednesday” initiative for staff to enjoy food and games on the last Wednesday of the month.

We’ll definitely be going back to Freight Island and are already looking forward to the next outing!
