Practical training courses delivered at no-cost to learners, leading to a job interview and hopefully a successful job placement.
The B2W Group is delivering LGV Skills Bootcamps as part of a government initiative to tackle skills gaps across the country.
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.
The B2W Group is delivering LGV Skills Bootcamps as part of a government initiative to tackle national driver shortage. We are giving individuals the opportunity to gain valuable skills to support their progression into a new career and become the next generation driver, or for those who are looking to progress in their existing workplace the skills to develop their career. For those currently out of work, Skills Bootcamps build up sector-specific skills and offer a fast track to a guaranteed interview. This course is suitable if you’re new to LGV driving, or you’re a returning driver.
COURSE CONTENT
The programme is designed to build your knowledge and hands-on skills all of which is needed to help you pursue your career as qualified LGV driver. The Logistics Skills Bootcamps will run across 6-15 weeks. There are three pathways, those looking to obtain their CAT C licence, those seeking their CAT C+E licence and those looking to return to the industry C to C+E. Each pathway includes a guaranteed job interview, driving assessment preparation, theory, practical assessment, and training.
PATHWAY 1 – CAT C (11 Weeks)

- Daily Walkaround Vehicle Checks
- Driver Health and Vehicle Loading
- Safe and Fuel-Efficient Driving (SAFED)
- ACT Awareness Training

- Principles of Health & Safety Training
- Mod 1a Theory Test preparation
- Mod 1b Hazardous Perception preparation
- Mod 2 CPC
- Mod 3a & 3b Practical Driver Training & Tests

PATHWAY 2 – CAT C + E (14 Weeks)
Cat C+E holders can operate heavier articulated combinations of up to 44 tonnes.

ELIGIBILITY:
Skills Bootcamps are available to all adults, regardless of prior attainment aged 19+.
Applicants must;
– Be living in Greater London and either; employed, self-employed, career changers, returners to work or unemployed within the last 12 months.
– Have access to a reliable internet connection with a PC/ Laptop.
– Have the right to live and work in the UK.
– Hold a full UK Driving License
– Less than 6 points
– Have lived in the UK/EU for the last 3 years
