Future You Programme: Case Study - Lilia Furdykon

Twenty-year-old Lilia had recently moved to the UK from Ukraine and completed our Future You programme. Lilia joined Future You to help develop her personal skills in order to secure work after settling into life in the UK.

Here is her experience on the Future You programme:

The Future You team is always dedicated to ensuring that the people they work with are taken care of. It’s vital that the programme meets participants’ needs and that they’re put first. Individuality is also vital so that learners can achieve their goals.

The Future You programme also focuses on employability skills, CVs and application forms, mental health, portfolios, cover letters and making sure participants get the skills and training necessary to move forwards.

Lilia was looking to increase her grasp on the English language and try and find work after settling in a new country.

Future You started off by helping Lilia develop her English skills so that she was more confident when going forward for job interviews and getting her foot in the foor to kick start her career.

To do this, Future You put together meetings for Lilia to help her with her English and job aspirations.

Upon completing the programme, Lilia had a better understanding of the English language and had a new found confidence which should help her excel in her future career.
