DIGITAL SKILLS BOOTCAMPS
Back 2 Work Group was awarded funding by Greater Manchester Combined Authority to deliver bespoke Skills Bootcamps in the city-region, which form part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life.
They are fully-funded, flexible courses for adults aged 19+ who are either in work or recently unemployed. Skills Bootcamps are designed to help you develop the digital skills that are in demand with top employers.
The B2W Group is delivering Skills Bootcamps in partnership with, sector experts Just IT. Bootcamp offers include Software Development, IT Technician and Data Analyst as part of a government initiative to tackle skills gaps across the country.
They give employees the opportunity to gain skills to support their progression within their existing workplace and self-employed individuals the skills to gain new business opportunities. For those out of work, Skills Bootcamps build up sector-specific skills and offer a fast track to a guaranteed interview.
CHOOSE YOUR BOOTCAMP
ELIGIBILITY:
Skills Bootcamps are available to all adults, regardless of prior attainment aged 19+.
Applicants must;
– Be living in Greater Manchester and either; employed, self-employed, career changers, returners to work or unemployed within the last 12 months.
– Have access to a reliable internet connection with a PC/ Laptop.
– Have the right to live and work in the UK.
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
This course includes;
– System Development lifecycle & Methodologies.
– HTML/ JavaScript / CSS.
– Database Design.
– Python.
IT TECHNICIAN
The programme is designed to build your technical knowledge and hands-on skills which are needed to start your career as an IT Technician.
This will include industry recognised certifications;
– CompTIA A+.
– Windows 10.
– Office 365
Learners can attend 5 sessions a week of facilitated workshop training. Our business coaches will support with weekly online sessions, and our Career Support team will help you to develop your employability skills.
DATA TECHNICIAN
The programme is designed to build your technical knowledge and hands-on skills which are needed to start your career as an Data Technician.
This will include industry recognised certifications;
– Microsoft Excel
– Python.
– RStudio.
– SQL.
Learners can attend 5 sessions a week of facilitated workshop training. Our business coaches will support with weekly online sessions, and our Career Support team will help you to develop your employability skills.
