This week is World Autism Acceptance Week, a campaign by the National Autistic Society to raise awareness of the discrimination and barriers that autistic people face in their daily lives and to provide the relevant guidance and support for parents, teachers, employers and colleagues to help understand these barriers, so that autistic people can explore their interests, develop skills and build lasting friendships.

Earlier this week, we sat down with Jonathan from our marketing team to discuss his experience as a parent to an autistic child. Jonathan reveals the initial struggles he faced to accept his son’s autism, as well as encouraging more parents, employers and educators to learn more about special educational needs and the autistic spectrum.

Understanding Autism - Fully Funded Course

At The B2W Group, we offer two fully-funded higher level skills courses designed to introduce learners to autism and special educational needs (SEN) with a view to forging a career in health and social care.

Our Level 3 in Understanding Autism course is designed to help you develop and extend your overall knowledge of autism, to help you progress into further learning or employment within health and social care.

The Level 3 in The Principles of Special Educational Needs course is suitable for those seeking a career in childcare, teaching or family support, with a desire to understand more about supporting those with Special Educational Needs.

The B2W Group has a fresh approach to transforming businesses by up-skilling their current staff or bringing an apprentice into the business to add a dynamic and dedicated individual to the team. All of our courses are available through various streams of government funding so are a cost-effective way to provide high-quality training within the workplace.
