Future You Programme: Case Study - Mariana Amorim

Twenty-four-year-old Mariana recently took part in our Future You programme after she recently moved to the UK from Portugal in search of new challenges and opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

Mariana’s goal was to secure a role within the food industry and had this to say about her experience on the Future You programme:

The Future You team is always dedicated to ensuring that the people they work with are taken care of. It’s vital that the programme meets participants’ needs and that they’re put first. Individuality is also vital so that learners can achieve their goals.

The Future You programme also focuses on employability skills, CVs and application forms, mental health, portfolios, cover letters and making sure participants get the skills and training necessary to move forwards.

Mariana was looking to grow professionally and personally in a new country.

Future You started off by helping Mariana develop a better understanding of the UK job market and the right steps to take to help her land her dream job.

After this, they put Mariana forward to do a fully funded Level 3 course in Management and Leadership, which helped close any knowledge gaps and helped her to become a more well-rounded professional.

The Future You programme also helped Mariana prepare for job interviews and assessments, which gave her a tremendous confidence boost when applying for jobs and going forward for interviews.

Following this, Mariana was able to land herself a job role as a Quality Auditor in a world-renowned food company, where she went on to praise the Future You team for all the help and support that they provided for her.
