Our Level 3 Principles of Management course is designed to help you prepare for managerial roles, by introducing you to the key responsibilities that come with management.

This includes learning about objective setting, allocating work and communicating effectively, as well as how to handle conflict and manage your own self development.

One learner who recently completed the course is Janet Mokwena from Middleton.

Janet's Story

After completing one of our Level 2 courses previously, Janet got back in touch with our career advice team to discuss possible further learning opportunities.

She expressed an interest in learning more about customer service management, so was advised to pursue our Level 3 certificate in Principles of Management course to further her knowledge of management and learn the fundamentals of managerial roles to help prepare her for advancing in her career.

Her Experience On The Course

On completion of the course, we asked Janet to reflect on her overall experience with us. She spoke in glowing terms about the delivery of the course and expressed her enjoyment of the tasks that were asked of her and her fellow learners.

"I enjoyed the whole journey of this course. It was fun, flexible and good for my wellbeing and the process to complete this course was also exceptional.

"I particularly liked the morning quiz which we did every day, just to catch up on the content and lessons we'd learnt from the previous day. I was also able to ask the tutor any questions or seek clarification if I did not understand something."

Janet also highlighted the group discussions element of the course and how useful this was when it came to completing her assessments.

"We were divided into groups to discuss and share ideas, as well as refresh our memories from the previous unit.

"This really motivated me to want to keep going because of how flexible the activities are done and the way in which questions were answered. We discussed them first to have the knowledge of what is required from us."

Supported & Motivated To Succeed

Janet successfully completed the course and gained an accredited a Level 3 certificate in the process. She told us that she now has an increased confidence and motivation to succeed in her career thanks to the overall content of the course, and would recommend it to others.

"I really liked they way I was supported and motivated to completing and achieving my certificate.

"I would recommend this course to anyone because opportunities like this are for you to take advantage of to help further your career."

She also said that she now believes she has the skills required to successfully re-enter full-time employment in a more senior role.

"I believe I've gained more knowledge, skills and understanding of the customer service industry and I'm now confident to take up a new role and put my skills to good use."
