Celebrating & Supporting 'Employability Day'

National ‘Employability Day’ took place on Friday 30th June, which gave us at the B2W Group a great opportunity to celebrate the work we do to support people across the UK to enter employment and further their careers.

The initiative, which was started by the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA), encourages the employment support sector to showcase what it does so well – reaching into communities, getting people into good jobs and careers and meeting employers’ needs.

We helped support Employability Day by hosting a visit for local employers based in and around Greater Manchester to come into our Restart office on Friday, to meet and interview our current job-ready candidates and discuss potential opportunities with them.

Rachel Willoughby, Director of Employment Support, was delighted with the turn out and believes the event will go a long way to build confidence for our candidates, who are looking to re-enter employment or progress in their careers.

Speaking after the event, Rachel said;

“We enjoyed a really fun and insightful morning as a team, where we were able to show some key local businesses the work we do, while also give our current group of participants an opportunity to speak with them about possible job opportunities.

“We know that the labour market is currently facing challenges when finding suitable employees, but we feel we’re in a great position to help tackle these head on with our Restart Scheme and B2W’s training programmes.

“I’d like to thank the local employers who came in to visit us, as it helped us to highlight the support we provide to get local people back into work and progress in their careers.”

Alongside providing support for unemployed people, our Restart Scheme offers a no-cost recruitment service and strategic workforce planning.

As part of our delivery of this scheme, our dedicated Business Development Managers enjoy building effective partnerships, understanding needs and finding the best solution for you and your business.

The B2W Group has a fresh approach to transforming businesses by up-skilling their current staff or bringing an apprentice into the business to add a dynamic and dedicated individual to the team. All of our courses are available through various streams of government funding so are a cost-effective way to provide high-quality training within the workplace.
