With this in mind, we are now expanding our range of courses and introducing the CMI Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring and CMI Level 3 Principles of Management and Leadership qualifications.

Distance Learning

Distance learning is a beneficial route for employees. With many learners having a busy work schedule, they can’t make the time for more traditional routes such as college or university. Distance learning allows learners to access their course in their own time and is flexible around their schedule. This route allows them to gain their qualification in as little as 3 months.  

Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

Each year over 30,000 people study a CMI qualification and over 85% of managers agreed their management and leadership qualification improved their performance. 

More than 80% of managers say that taking a management qualification has resulted in increased professional recognition, with most stating that employers prefer qualified managers when recruiting.

CMI Level 3 in Principles of Management and Leadership

Aimed at practising or aspiring managers, this qualification will develop management and leadership skills. It will enhance your skill set and provide effective methods to set and monitor goals and objectives by providing instruction, direction and guidance. After completion, you will feel more confident in supervising or managing a team.

CMI Level 3 in Coaching and Mentoring

This qualification is designed for supervisors and first line managers to deliver the development of coaching and mentoring skills, with the techniques to manage individuals and teams to achieve their objectives. During the course, you will learn the knowledge and skills needed to get the very best from your team.

During the qualification, learners will explore:

  • Coaching and mentoring for individual and team needs
  • Principles, skills and impact of coaching and mentoring
  • Understanding organisational culture, values and behaviour
  • Understanding team dynamics
  • Completing the coaching and mentoring process

It was found that excessive workload and management style were two of the top contributors to stress in the workplace. Stress can lead to time lost to employee absence, with the average spell of stress-related absence being 21 days.

With so many managers not undergoing any training, they are limiting their capabilities and running the risk of demotivating their team and preventing progression. 

These qualifications will provide the opportunity for those in a leadership role to grow and develop their knowledge in key areas such as communication, managing budgets and achieving results.

Eligibility

As our distance learning provision focuses on progression within the workplace, we do require learners to be employed to be eligible for the funding.
