The B2W Group has introduced new courses into our distance learning range, including management, digital and construction courses. One of these upcoming courses is the Level 3 Diploma in Social Media for Business.
Social Media for Business
This qualification has been designed to meet both the employer and individual demand for social media within a business environment. It focuses on the needs of a business, and the effective tools and techniques used to promote business in today’s digital world. It will cover in-depth knowledge on how to use collaborative technologies, build a social media campaign, and increase your online visibility.
Why is social media important to business?
Around the world, there are 3.96 billion active social media users. This is continuously growing at an annual rate of 10.5%. As you would expect, people are also spending more time on their devices during the pandemic. This means that now more than ever, you can put your brand in front of an audience by utilising social media platforms.
You can utilise social media as an effective advertising tool with both paid and organic methods. Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn allow companies to build campaigns with a defined target audience. This means that you can ensure that your budget is reaching the right people at the right time.
People will search for you through social media
A large percentage of internet users use social media to research more about a brand. There will be a number of reasons that contribute to this, including to check if your brand is legitimate and to know more about what you have to offer. This is why it’s important to ensure that you not only have an online presence, but also regularly update your social media platforms and create a strategy that will help you to convert your page viewers into buyers.
More people now prefer to shop online
Due to the pandemic, we faced rapid changes to the way we shop. This has resulted in more people switching to online shopping. People have started to adapt to this new lifestyle and now say they expect to shop online more frequently even after the pandemic ends.
These changes mean that more people will be searching for online businesses for their needs. People will turn to search engines and social media to find products and services. As a result, social media will play a vital part in ensuring your business gets noticed online.
So now more than ever it’s time to make sure your business is visible on social media and that you represent it in the right way.
Humanise your brand
Social media allows you to connect with your customers on a more personal level. It allows you to promote your brand values and build brand loyalty and trust. Not only that, but you can share real-life experiences and stories that represent how much your product and/or service is benefitting your existing customers. It’s a fantastic opportunity to relate to your audience and listen to their needs.
Even some of the biggest brands in the world are moving away from traditional strategies in favour of fun and quirky techniques which humanise their brand and relate to their individual customers.
Aldi recently celebrated its 30th birthday on social media and other well-known supermarkets got involved with the fun.
