National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is here! It’s a week where we can celebrate the work of our Digital Marketing Apprentices, showcasing the incredible jobs they do within marketing teams up and down the country. Today, we’re celebrating a B2W Group Level 3 apprentice’s successes over the last 2 years.
Emily has recently finished her Level 3 apprenticeship and achieved a Merit for her work. Emily began her apprenticeship at the height of COVID which caused a rocky start. She was determined to complete her apprenticeship and grow herself as a marketer. Emily is now working full time for Shelton Associates and is a big part of the team today. Here is Emily’s story…
“For me, the apprenticeship has been one of the best things I have done, both personally and for my knowledge. I had quite a rocky start, but through the apprenticeship I have really found my confidence, I’ve found myself personally through it. And I’ve come out a better person for it as well.
“With the help of The B2W Group I was able to find the best fit for me.
“National Apprenticeship Week is important for people like me because I struggle with learning in certain environments. So for me, doing an apprenticeship was very hands-on and I was able to learn throughout the process.”
Dean Watson, Team Leader of apprenticeships, worked closely with Emily throughout her apprenticeship.
“I had the pleasure working with Emily throughout her Level 3 digital marketer apprenticeship. We worked really close with Emily to find her a really good employer who has supported her through her apprenticeship and excitingly, recently achieved a Merit, which was well deserved.
“The B2W Group currently offer two apprenticeships. The first is our Level 3 Digital Marketer apprenticeship, running for 15 to 18 months. It includes 3 key knowledge modules that are chosen by the apprentice and the employer at the time of entry. A skills coach will work with every learner, so every learner will have their own skills coach who will work really closely with an apprentice. On successful completion of level 3, apprentices can apply to take part in our Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship.”
Ray, Emily’s Digital Trainer was there to teach Emily on her first knowledge module…
“I actually started as an apprentice many, many years ago. I think the benefit of apprenticeships is it takes you through that journey, it teaches you every aspect of the particular industry, the particular role and then out of that you can specialise in a particular area. Emily came on to one of my courses, it was in 2019, the second training course I ever delivered so it’s great to see somebody on their journey.”
Everyone is incredibly proud of Emily and her determination through her apprenticeship. We congratulate Emily on her Merit, and we wish her all the luck in her future and her Level 4 apprenticeship.
