Our Level 3 Principles of Management course is designed to help you prepare for managerial roles, by introducing you to the key responsibilities that come with management.

This includes learning about objective setting, allocating work and communicating effectively, as well as how to handle conflict and manage your own self development.

One learner who recently completed the course is Amanda Bradford-Hunt from Greater Manchester.

Amanda's Story

After being made redundant earlier in the year, Amanda was looking to further her skillset and knowledge before re-entering work.

She says she found our Principles of Management course online, and decided to pursue the course to further her learning.

"I was made redundant a few months ago and recently came across this course. I made contact and was enrolled very quickly. I chose this course with B2W after checking over their reviews and I was impressed by the feedback."

Tasks Completed

Amanda also described the tasks she completed on the course and how much she enjoyed the group activities and other elements that were involved.

"The tasks included group discussions, quizzes, articles to read and explore, research tasks, presentation tasks and also jamboard tasks.

"I really enjoyed the group discussions and learning some new theories and ideas, but I also enjoyed the class as a whole, as the other learners were all really nice and easy to get along with."

When asked if she’d recommend the course to others, Amanda didn’t hesitate. She also offered some advice to those thinking of signing up for the course.

"Absolutely, I have done online courses that I paid for previously and they can feel so arduous. Considering this was fully funded and over 7 days, I never once felt fatigued when joining the class for the day.

"You should be prepared to participate in discussions. You'll get the most out of it by being 100% committed to all aspects of the course and its delivery."

Successfully Securing Employment

Not only did Amanda successfully complete the course and gain an accredited Level 3 certificate, but she has since managed to secure a new role.

She told us about the new role she’s due to start, as well as expressing an interest in furthering her learning.

"I am about to start a new job at a local college. It's a step down, which is what I wanted, so I could be there for my children more and also set up my own business in crafting.

"However, in the long term, I would like work my way up in the college to gain a managerial role again. Having just completed this Level 3 course, I will now need to find the right time to do a Level 4.

"I'm now much more confident, and this course backed up my beliefs in being able to lead as opposed to just managing a team."

Congratulations again Amanda, and good luck in your new role!
