#NAW2021

Today marks the start of the annual National Apprenticeship Week, a week dedicated to showing the highlights and benefits apprenticeships can bring to apprentices and employers. To kickstart the week, we are highlighting our pre-apprenticeship training qualification, ‘Introduction to Digital Technologies’.

This three-week course teaches you the essentials of IT and digital marketing. As well as this, it strengthens your employability skills to help y get into a digital career. As digital skills are the norm of a range of roles, this qualification will prove a useful asset to your CV and enhance your desirability to employers.

Jed Saint

Jed Saint, who is based in the Manchester area, recently completed the Introduction to Digital Technologies course. We spoke to them to hear more about their experience.

What made you want to apply for the course?

I felt like I needed to refresh my CV and add more relevant qualifications. I wanted a qualification that related more to the digital marketing sector as that’s the area I was interested in most. This qualification is also a great gateway to progress into a full-time position or an apprenticeship programme.

What did you like most about the digital technologies course?

I liked that there is an easy bridge between this level 1 introduction to digital technologies qualification and higher-level digital marketing. Once you have completed this, you can progress on to do a level 3 digital marketing apprenticeship.

What new knowledge and skills have you learned?

I was able to refresh and update my digital marketing and employability knowledge. This includes marketing a business in an online environment and planning and implementing a marketing campaign. In addition to this, I learned new information relating to IT including business applications of IT networks and software development.

Has this furthered your interest in a digital career?

Yes, I am still interested in a digital career and this qualification has provided a useful step towards achieving my goal. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to go into a digital role.

Interested in a digital career?

Whether you’re interested in a role in IT or digital marketing, this funded course will provide a great opportunity for you to increase your knowledge and add an additional qualification to your CV.

We have upcoming courses for residents of the South Yorkshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester areas. This course will come at no cost and build you IT, digital marketing and employability skills.
